Lillian Freeman, Executive Assistant to the Cluster Team in the Specialty Care Medicines Development Group Pfizer Inc. – Collegeville, PA
About 3 1/2 years ago, one of my family members was involved in a collision which totaled my car. They came out fine, no injuries, but, I ended up without a car and any prospects of getting one at the time. The situation was very stressful. I took a limo several times a week to and from work because I did not yet know about the program. You can imagine how expensive that was. Anyway, when I finally found out about the program I was relieved. But, it posed another challenge. I now needed to get up everyday at 4 am to catch a 5:30 am bus from Chester to 69th Street, then the 100 to Norristown and the same in the afternoon. My time was very restricted during the week. I had to get to bed by 800 pm and I stuck to that. My day was a complete nightmare, but as I got adjusted to walking up a hill, in the dark and coming down the hill, in the dark. I was very grateful for the fact that I had a way to get up here to Collegeville [PA].
This service means more to me than you will ever know. I got so adjusted that I have yet to get a car, I guess I still am going green.
