The Rideshare Team at Herbalife International won its first Metro Rideshare Diamond Award for Outstanding Group Achievement. The category recognizes groups who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and rideshare advocacy. Alan Estacio, Valerie Castillo, and Susan Trujillo make up the hard-working rideshare team at Herbalife in Torrance, California. Alan has been managing the program since 1998 and works alongside Valerie and Susan who are in charge of employee transportation and their corporate fleet, respectively.
VPSI nominated the team because of their willingness to go above and beyond to offer their employees a fully subsidized rideshare program. Valerie and Susan were on-hand to receive the award presented in May during a luncheon honoring all the awardees held at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles.

Dear TransitTalk.com-
I applaud your efforts to raise public awareness about the myriad of benefits traditional fixed-route transit offers the Richmond region, which I recently read about in an article from Richmond BizSense. As the nation’s largest vanpool services provider, VPSI has been a champion of sustainable transportation solutions for over three decades and has offered our commuter services in Richmond since 1988. With 68 vanpools originating from or destined to the Metro Richmond area every working day, hundreds of commuters are already doing their part to save fuel, reduce traffic congestion and eliminate harmful auto emissions from our air. I would encourage your group to include vanpooling, an exceptionally flexible, cost-effective and efficient form of transit, amongst the strategies the Leadership Metro Richmond group advocates.
Sincerely,
Michael Norvell
