Week 4: “Read it on the Road” Contest

kindleIt’s time to post this week’s question for our “Read it on the Road” contest.

Last week, nearly 200 readers responded to our question and, on Friday, Bill Deibel won an Amazon Kindle e-reader when his name was chosen at random from all of those who responded.

This week we ask: “If your vanpool had a name, what would it be?”

Just post your answer in the comments field of this post. On Friday, we’ll pick a winner at random and will then post the results at 4:30 pm Eastern.

Please be sure to leave your answer in the comments section for this post only. We love to receive comments on other blog posts or on our Facebook page, but we can’t accept them as contest entries. We’ll post all the comments after the drawing on Friday.

Our “Read it on the Road” Contest Winner for Week 3 Is …

Congratulations to Bill for winning this week’s Amazon Kindle giveaway. Bill’s name was drawn at random from nearly 200 readers, who answered our question this week about who is selling the most expensive gas in your area.

Bill’s answer was: $3.64 at Diamond Shamrock, 8290 Washington St.

And thanks to everyone who participated. Not only is it fun reading all your responses – and marveling at the way gas prices have spiked – but it’s also informative for comparison shopping.

Photos From The Road: Final Round

Thank you to everyone who participated in the first and second rounds of our Photos From The Road contest. We received over 1,500 captions for the five photos in Round One and over 5,700 votes in Round Two!

Now it is time for the final votes. For each photo, the caption that received the most votes in round two is now a finalist in the final voting phase. Now you can vote for your favorite caption once a day until October 21st to help pick the Grand Prize Winner.
