Commuter Challenge 2009

Some people need to be challenged…that’s why we created the Commuter Challenge! SEMCOG (SE Mich. Council of Govt.) along with all the transportation providers in the SE Michigan area are challenging you to try a new mode of transportation during May 11-22. You are invited to the kick-off event on Friday, May 8th from 11am-2pm at Cadillac Square (adjacent to Campus Martius Park). Fox 2′s Jackie Paige will MC the event and Fox 2 will cover the event live at 11:00 am.

MichiVan will be there with a van full of balloons. You guess how many balloons are in the van and you win a $50 fuel card. MichiVan will also have an event on Monday, May 11 to highlight the Commuter Challenge Carpool/Vanpool Day. Stop by Compuware’s plaza from 11am -1pm to pick a car from our swimming pool to win some great prizes! (Yes, similar to pick a duck at the fair!) Hope you can come by!

Click this link to log your alternate commute mode days. Alternate modes include carpool, vanpool, bus, bike, walk, telecommute & flex-time. This will automatically register you to win great prizes.
