Orange, California – Employees of CareFusion’s Yorba Linda facility are the first vanpool on the road. Tach Sirichai, Jose Vicencio, Roscoe Woody, Cynthia Poillot, and Merritt Girgis met with Tracy McConnell from VPSI and within two weeks formed their vanpool group.
The group had the same work schedule and lived within the same area so determining their route from Murrieta to Lake Elsinore and stopping in Orange was finalized with everyone’s input. The group is ecstatic about cutting their commuting cost in half and will recruit additional passengers for an even greater savings.
Teresa Gomez-DeSales, Employee Transportation Coordinator at CareFusion, facilitated the meetings and distributed the promotional materials in an effort to generate employee interest about the vanpool program. An employee vanpool program is a part of her rideshare plan to reduce the number of cars commuting to this facility.
