The American Public Transportation Association announced VPSI as a First Place Award winner for this year‘s AdWheel Awards in the “Print, Advertisement Promotion” category. This award reflects an advertising campaign we ran in 2008, promoting the MichiVan Vanpool Program in edible WOW magazine.

As part of APTA’s 2009 Annual Meeting and International Expo, the award was presented at the 30th AdWheel Awards Ceremony on on Monday, October 5. The AdWheel Awards recognize public transportation systems and APTA business members for excellence in advertising, communications, marketing, and promotion.

Nearly 500 entries were submitted to the prestigious awards in the following four categories: print, electronic, campaign, and special event. First place honors were awarded in various subcategories to each of four groups, based on system size. Grand Award winners were chosen from those first place winners in each group.  For a complete list of first place winners visit Apta.com.
